Manchester United try to sell list of players in new PSR transfer approach

The summer transfer window was opened last month and Man Utd caused ripples with the way a number of companies.

Manchester United is aging feathers by offering the sale of Academy players this summer while using a new transfer approach.

Manchester Evening News understands that United has compiled a list of academic players (all over 18 years old) that they want to let go this summer and offered their names to other clubs.

Those clubs are surprised by some of the names offered because in some cases United has paid considerable transfer costs to sign those players at their academy.

The news has also come a shock for some families and representatives who claim that they have not been consulted.

United has strongly insisted that they have always consulted the players themselves.

The men have told that United has been willing to sell the aforementioned players for free – some with nominal transfer costs – but with the reservation of high sold -out clauses that are included in the deals.

United has said that it is reasonably standard practice for clubs to make decisions about the future of players when they are 18 years old, and the players are within their right to reject movements.

The club has also said that the reality of profit and sustainability rules (PSR) means that there is a renewed approach to get costs for players they do not believe they will play for the first team.

The men understand that significant changes are taking place at the academy, and some observers feel that the desire to save the costs around the club has influenced the decisions of the academy.
