Manchester United is demonstrable on their lowest EB after an embarrassing Carabao Cup exit to League Two Grimsby Town.
Ruben Amorim's side was very much at a second best against their fourth level opponents and fell 2-0 during the break. And while Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire save a 2-2 draw, they then crashed after a marathon penalty shoot-out.
After the game, Amorim made some comments and he insisted that his players “really spoke loudly against him” and that “something should change” – but adding that he cannot change 22 players again.

Half of the attitudes of Man Utd players stink!
I have looked at the entire game and all the way to the penalties and: hard work. You have to do the hard work. You could be one of the most talented players in the world, but you have to work hard.
No lack of respect for Grimsby, they should not be on the same pitch as man utd. When man Utd pops up with the attitude that Grimsby had, there is only one result and everyone would have been reversed during the rest, looking for something else to look at. That was not the case.
Half of them showed up: 'I only play because it is Grimsby. I will not play against Burnley on Saturday '. Instead of: “If I walk from that match, those Grimsby fans and players will go: I didn't know he was so good.” That is not the case.
The attitude stinks of half of them. There used to be shocks, the fields were a joke. That pitch was flawless and they have to go outside and destroy Grimsby.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not at the top because of his talent. And if he has to work hard as one of the best players of all time, why can't the Manchester United players? It's arrogance.
Who can knock on the door this weekend and go: why don't I play? And they all want to leave! Where are they going? Who is going to take them?
“Man Utd got the wrong man in Amorim”
When he said: my players talk very hard – that means he has seen enough to know that in my opinion they don't really play for him.
Then he turned around and said, “I can't change all 22 players,” [meaning] “I will have to be to leave.”
I was a manager at Walsall. You just know, and you get a feeling, if it's not right.
When Amorim came in, everyone knew that he could play three at the back. Everyone knew it. Man utd knew it. The owners knew it.
He got that job to continue as he played. They never had the players that way – ever.
I could have seen him go in Chelsea with Malo Gusto, Reece James – attacking wingbacks that can make things happen and cross the ball. They are up and down. Chelsea has three center backs that would have been suitable for the way he played.
They got the wrong man for the players they had. He had to change a lot. They are not going to do that and he will not change his system for Man Utd.
He came in from Portugal to one of the biggest jobs in world football and played as he played. Why would he change?
He did not want to come in in the middle of the season because he knew they were not his players. No wingbacks. Then he had to come in, it was a crazy fight and this season he doesn't have it.
Amorim has probably just disappeared: 'I just have to surpass teams', with Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko in the front. Bruno Fernandes also plays. And I don't think he will do that.
How long will Amorim go to Man Utd?
I will be shocked if he is still in charge if the man does not leave Utd Burnley. But they will beat Burnley! It's a fun game.
Erik ten Hag also had that: three or four games without victory and then came the second bottom of the competition. They just won that match and then lost three or four games again.
It just keeps covering the cracks. They are called Pollyfilla United!
I don't think Amorim will be shy to go: “I had had enough of it. I can't do anything. I did what I can do '.
I don't think he is someone who has put himself through pain to get his payment. I don't know the man, but [the way he is] When I come across, I think he is a honest man and will be honest with himself. But I think they will beat Burnley.
Does Man Utd have to give a new keeper priority?
For me I would have said yes. You do not win competition titles, world cups or European championships without good keepers.
Onana does not save points, the keepers lose points at Man Utd. So as soon as you lose points, that is a concern.
They need a new keeper. I see Gianluigi Donnarumma in the area – why don't they go for him? But again, they used their money in other positions.
They need legs in midfield. No one has ever won a tournament or competition without legs in midfield.
Take sesko tenth punishment? I thought he had to be injured '
They bought Sesko for £ 70 million and he takes the 10th penalty? I thought he had a broken leg when he performed. I thought he had to be so injured that he takes the 10th penalty.
And then I heard people say he didn't want to miss or exert that pressure. He is a player of £ 70 million! He comes to score goals for Man Utd to bring them back to where they should hear and he takes the 10th penalty?
He must be in the top five. He takes a penalty from 12 meters and the goalkeeper cannot get off his line!
