Controverse will continue to follow Barcelona prior to their first LA Liga match of the 2025/26 season in Mallorca.
Barcelona plays their first three games from the campaign away from home while the club works in the direction of a return from mid -September to the Camp Nou.
However, there are more urgent worries for Hansi Flick, while the club raced to register Marcus Rashford as a La Liga player.
Barcelona has brought to register Joan Garcia and Rashford on time for the trip to Palma, and in the case of the first they managed to get it done on time.
Rashford was admitted to the traveling team, but he will start on the couch with the Estadi son Moix, while Flick chose to throw him in from the start.
The club submitted their request to register Rashford, and with more funds that were collected on Friday, via the sale of the 50% Sell-on clause they had for former player Francisco Trincao, they had faith in collecting the money needed to get it just before the start.
Now that Robert Lewandowski is missing due to an injury, Rashford hopes to make an impression on the Spanish top flight, but he will be stopped for the time being.
Ferran Torres leads the Barcelona attack, in the only start change of Barcelona's 5-0 Joan Gamper Trophy victory on Como on 10 August, flanked by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
Rashford will hope to go against Mallorca, but with the potential of a first start in the trip to Levante on August 23, or in the last place on the road in Rayo Vallecano on August 31.
The club is still busy registering various other players with further sale planned to illuminate financial pressure before the end of September.
