Barcelona is now climbing to sign a new left wing player after Nico Williams has made a move to Catalonia for the second summer in a row. Deco, the sports director of the club, will be charged with leading the chase, and under the names that are expected to be considered, Marcus Rashford.
Even before the rejection of Williams, Barcelona worked on a summer movement for Rashford. They see the Manchester United Vooruit as a market opportunity that can be taken over on loan, but things have now changed considerably in the last 24 hours after the revelations of Bilbao.
Luis Luis Diaz and Rashford from Liverpool are the two alternatives of Barcelona for Williams, but at this stage it is the first to get priority. According to Diario AS, Deco does not intend to make any effort to make a deal with Man United, with all his focus on pursuing the signature of Diaz.
Reportedly, Rashford is desperate to become a member at Barcelona this summer, but as was the case during the winter transfer window, he will probably have to wait until the last days/weeks to make a deal happened.
Diaz is the man who wants deco, and his opinion is shared by Hansi Flick. But the problem is that Liverpool has made it clear that they are not considering a sale this summer, although it is unlikely that Barcelona will stop.
Anyway, it is expected that movements on Diaz will come by Liverpool for a while to mourn the tragic passage of Diogo Jota, who died earlier this week. In the meantime, Barcelona will strive to free up salary space to give itself the opportunity to register who is registering with the left wing.
