Marcus Rashford seems to come on the loan of Barcelona, after he was out of grace at Manchester United after Ruben Amorim was in charge of the club last year
Marcus Rashford is closing a move to Barcelona, with the Manchester United star expects to join the LaLiga Giants with an option to buy. Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan in Aston Villa after being frozen by Ruben Amorim in Old Trafford.
And conversations about moving to Barcelona are in the final phase after manager Hansi Flick had approved the deal. Rashford has made no secret of his wish to join Barcelona and tells the Spanish influence Javi Ruiz that he would like to play next to Lamine Yamal.
When asked about the prospect of being teammates with Yamal, Rashford replied: “Yes, certainly. Everyone in the world wants to play with the best. So hopefully we will see. (Yamal) will be … It is difficult to put in words what he does because he was not allowed to do it at 16, 17.
“He plays at the highest level, I don't think we've seen it. His mentality is a skill. He is not normal to do what he is doing and he will continue to improve.
“Spain is fun, it's not too far from home. If I train for a long period, my family can come for a few days, it is a nice location and good weather.”
The move of Barcelona for Rashford was approved earlier this month by Flick after being impressed by the attacker when they held conversations. They wanted to sign a new winger all summer and their financial problems have had a major impact.
Nico Williams had agreed personal conditions, but eventually signed a new 10-year contract with Athletic Bilbao after it turned out that Barcelona could not register him because of the financial Fair Play rules of Laliga.
Barcelona was also interested in Liverpool -wing player Luis Diaz, but the Reds do not want to sell the Colombia International and rejected an offer of £ 58.6 million earlier this month.
And when he was questioned in both Barcelona in both Rashford and Diaz in May, Flick said: “This is what we talked about with the club. In the last games we may not have many options in that position … so we have to bring more options to the team and more quality.
“This is the task of Deco, is clear and I will support him. I don't want to talk about players who are not in my team, but of course Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford are fantastic players. I like them and we will see what happens.”
