Marcus Rashford will miss Manchester United's clash with bitter rivals Liverpool through illness as uncertainty continues to hang over his future at Old Trafford.
Head coach Ruben Amorim revealed that Rashford has not trained for Sunday's match at Anfield and is unlikely to feature against league leaders Arne Slot.
Rashford only returned to the squad against Newcastle on Monday as an unused substitute after being ruled out for four games, but Amorim insisted his situation remains unchanged.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from his boyhood club in the January transfer window, although he has rejected three offers to move to the Saudi Pro League worth up to £35million per year.
Rashford has scored seven times against Liverpool in his career – more than any other Premier League club – but he is unlikely to get the chance to add to that tally this weekend.
“It's the same situation,” Amorim said. 'Right now he's sick. He's not training.
'We will see in the future, but this is just like with a normal player, then I make a selection. So it's the same. I think he's going to be out, he's going to be out this week. We'll see, but I think he's off this week.'
