MARCUS RASHFORD has rejected three money-losing moves for Saudi Arabia as he weighs his next move.
A move to the Middle East could have earned the Manchester United striker around £35million a year – significantly more than he collects at Old Trafford.
But the 27-year-old has pushed back approaches from three clubs there as he is determined to regain his place in the England squad.
So if he does leave his boyhood club this month, it would only be to a team and league that gives him the platform to do so.
That means a move to Turkey has also been ruled out by Rashford and his camp – despite reported interest from Fenerbahce.
He currently earns around £315,000 a week at United and Saudi wages would have almost doubled that.
Catching the attention of the new Three Lions coach is a big priority for the 60-cap forward as he has not played international football since March.
Despite saying in December that he is ready for the next steps and a new challenge, it is clear he has not ruled out staying at United – and he is under contract until 2028.
He has not featured in the club's last five games since being left out of the squad for the Manchester derby by Ruben Amorim in mid-December.
But sources close to the striker say he is still hopeful of Sunday's trip to Anfield and remains fully committed.
However, United are willing to listen to offers for the attacker who has been on their books for almost two decades.
They can use the money to meet profit and sustainability rules and also give Amorim the money he wants to reshape the squad.
