Marcus Rashford has not returned to the training for the season at Manchester United after he has received permission to explore a transfer, but when he returns, he wears a new shirt number
Manchester United has confirmed that new signing Matheus Cunha has taken the number 10 shirt from Marcus Rashford. Brazilian attacker Cunha joined the Red Devils of Wolves in a £ 62.5 million transfer deal on 1 June.
The 26-year-old met his new teammates for the first time on Monday, when United started training for the season. Cunha was seen in no. 10 on his training equipment while he starts life under Ruben Amorim.
Last week reports emerged and claimed that Rashford would lose the number that he has worn since 2018.
Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho have all had extra time to explore a move before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September. Barcelona are the favorites to sign Rashford, who have beat the Red Devils on a price tag of £ 40 million on – the same amount that a price tag of £ 40m has made – the same amount that has switched to his loan filling.
However, Barca prefers a loan agreement because they have difficulty registering players at La Liga in the midst of their well -documented financial misery. The Spanish champions missed the signing of Nico Williams of £ 58 million, because they could not guarantee the athletic Bilbao wing player that they could register.
Liverpool Vooruit Luis Diaz would also like to be a member of Barcelona and Boss Hansi Flick has described both him and Rashford as 'fantastic players'. Last month the brother and agent of Rashford, Dwaine Maynard, was seen in Barca Sporting Director Deco for conversations.
It has been suggested that the United Wantaway would be willing to take a considerable wage reduction for his £ 325,000 a week to participate in the domestic Treble winners of Flick. Rashford was recently asked by the Spanish YouTube channel Xbuyer if he would play next to Barcelona Wonderkid Lamine Yamal in the future.

“Yes, sure,” he replied. “Everyone in the world wants to play with the best. So hopefully we will see.”
Rashford also compared himself with ex-Barca striker Henry and added: “I see myself reflected in Henry. He plays comfortably on the left and also in the middle. He is a free player.
“As I have developed, the number 9 position has become more comfortable, more natural. Things like playing with my back to goal become easier for me. You are always for the goal and always dangerous.”
