Marcus Rashford’s future in limbo as Ruben Amorim REFUSES to say if he’ll ever pick him for Man Utd again

Ruben Amorim will not offer Marcus Rashford any guarantees about his future until the transfer window is closed.

The striker, 27, has not been playing for United since December 12 and said that he wants a “new challenge” away from Old Trafford.

Rashford trained on Wednesday at Carrington Base from United.

But then he looked at the 2-1 Europa League victory of the next day in Rangers from the stands.

Rashford posted “Come on the Boys” on Instagram with a Red Circle Emoji.

United -Baas Amorim remains in the dark about the future of Rashford with the transfer window that will be closed on 3 February.

Asked about the future of the England attacker, Amorim replied: 'I don't know. I really don't know.

“We will see what happened at the end of the window – and then we will talk about it at the moment.”

Rashford had hoped to join Barcelona, but the LaLiga club cannot register new players because of their financial crisis.

The German Outfit Borussia Dortmund was interested, but stopped and refused the requirements of United to punch all £ 325,000 a week of Rashford.

AC Milan has also decided to sign him on loan.

Amorim refuses to admit to his current policy to leave Rashford out of his plans, while the United Manager is also waiting to see if Chelsea will make a formal offer for winger Alejandro Garnacho.

Transfer News Live: Stay informed of the latest movements from the January window

United wants at least £ 60 million for the 20-year-old, who is open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

But Amorim hinted that he could re -warm up at the young Argentinian after his promising 90 -minute display in that victory in Rangers.

The Portuguese boss refused to commit himself to the future of Garnacho – especially since United has to lift cash to ward off the threat of violating the Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

The sale of Garnacho could register as a pure profit in this season's accounts and could unlock a huge purchasing power while Amorim tries to reform his team in his system.

Amorim said: “We don't know what can happen until the window is closed. Everything can happen. But he improves in every aspect of the game.

“He was better against Rangers who played inside, also outside, changed position. He improves the restorative position.

“You can see it up to 90 minutes that he always recovers and helps, sometimes show some frustration and that is good because he wants more.

“He has potential to be so much better in every situation in the game.

“What I can say is that he understood what I was trying to do, that was really clear.”
