Maresca to serve one-game touchline ban for over-celebrating Neto’s late winner

Enzo Maresca will serve a Touchline suspension of one match after the Chelsea head coach picked up his third yellow card of the season while he celebrated Sunday's dramatic late victory over Fulham in Craven Cottage.

Maresca was booked by referee Anthony Taylor when he burst out of his area and the touchline walked to the away match after the Pedro Neto strike in what a must-win was to keep his side in the champions League. The entire Chelsea bank also broke out when they came to the field.

Maresca was previously shown yellow in Premier League matches against Bournemouth by Taylor and Newcastle by Simon Hooper.

The next Chelsea collision is with Everton this Saturday lunch on Stamford Bridge, while offering to continue their attempt for a place in Europe Elite Competition through their domestic function.

Maresca said he was booked in the midst of the chaos of the Neto celebrations during his press conference after the competition in Craven Cottage, but did not mention, or was not aware that he should serve a ban.

Mail Sport checked with the FA, which confirmed on Sunday evening that his three booking would be the same as a single game that is being hit from the sidelines.

It is not a useful development for Maresca, because his assistant, Willy Caballero, will probably have to get up in the technical area this weekend.

In earlier matches, Maresca is the target of a few fans at Stamford Bridge who complains about his football style, where someone tells him that it is 'boring' during their last home game with Ipswich.

While the players of Chelsea celebrate full -time on Sunday with the away match on full -time, Maresca walked over the field and the tunnel instead of participating in his team.
