Marseille considering move to sign Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey
Olympique de Marseille, second in Ligue 1 and seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, wants to strengthen its selection in January.
The club's defense is currently seen as its biggest weakness and an interest in Juventus' Danilo (33) and Freiburg's Kiliann Sildillia (22) was recently called out by L'Équipe.
L'Équipe now also reports that a switch for Sacha Boey (24) is being considered. The Frenchman has been severely hampered by injuries since arriving in the Bundesliga, although he recently returned from a meniscus injury that had sidelined him for two months.
With Michael Murillo being put on the market by OM, a move for Boey could take the form of a loan move. Bayern Munich want to keep the right-back long-term, but a short spell away from the Allianz Arena could be seen as beneficial for all parties.
Marseille still needs to take concrete steps, but research has been done. If contact is made with Bayern Munich, Medhi Benatia's strong relationship with the German club following his spell as a player could facilitate a deal.
