According to a report from L'Equipe de Marseille, the Marseille is interested in returning Timothy Weah (25) to Ligue 1. The American international who made his professional debut in France with Paris Saint-Germain joined Juventus in 2023 of Lille OSC.
The wing player who can also play as a wingback has made 78 performances for the Serie A-side, but can be on the move this summer, with Marseille in the market for offensive reinforcements after the departure of Luis Henrique to Internazionale Milan.
L'Equipe writes that the transfer could cost the Ligue 1 side around € 15 million, with WEAH under contract in Italy during the next three years. However, negotiations on the type of transfer have to take place (in other words, it will be a transfer, a loan with an option to buy or a loan with an obligation to buy).
Marseille is not the only team looking at the former Lille and PSG man, and they will be confronted with fierce competition from the Premier League, with Leeds United interested.
