Olympique de Marseille has announced that they will break their presence record this afternoon when they host as Saint-étienne in the Stade Vélodrome.
L'Equipe adds that 66,115 supporters are expected to attend the collision between the old rivals that the previous record that was played last March will surpass when the club was visited by Paris Saint-Germain (66,045).
The Vélodrome has a capacity of 67,000, but it will be without Saint-Étienne supporters who are present for the game, because the fans of Les Verts have not been allowed to attend this competition. This was not a surprising result when Marseille fans were banned from the competition and cup matches in the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard this season this season.
Marseille came out this season in both earlier meetings with Saint-Étienne. The two clubs faced each other twice in December, with Marseille de Coupe de France Tie won 4-0 before beating Les Verts 2-0 in the competition.
