Mason Mount handed brutal transfer verdict by ex-Man Utd star: ‘He’s a disaster’

Mason Mount is 'one of the worst signing sessions ever' branded by former Manchester United star Paul Parker.

Mount entered United from Chelsea in 2023 for £ 60 million, but spent most of the time since injured and not available for selection.

Parker did not bump into his brutal assessment of Mount ', and claimed that the signing of the English midfielder had turned out to be a “catastrophe” and had branded a “disaster”.

And in a further swipe on Mount, Parker claimed that Chelsea would have been “ecstatic” to get such a large fee for a player who only had a year left on his contract.

“Mason Mount is one of the worst signing sessions ever,” said Parker. “Like, in the history of football. It is literally a catastrophe. He is a disaster and he was also in Chelsea, so I can't get my head why United decided to bring him in.

“I always said that I don't know what his best position is. I don't know what he's good at, and even worse, I don't think he knows.

“Of course it is a shame for him that he is always injured, but is he really injured? I don't know, but it seems that he is very easy to get into a form where he cannot or do not want to play football.

“I am sure he is a good boy. 100%, but he does not have the level to play for United, and he is not the only one, I am well aware of that. He may not even be the biggest problem, but he does not help the team and that is whether he plays or not.

“I hope that the club and he can find a solution, because that would be the best for everyone. Chelsea is ecstatic that they have managed to get rid of him. They helped him financially, but more than they have so many players who are not just one level, but levels above him.”

Mount is currently being put aside by a hamstring injury and is not expected to summarize a difficult season until the end of next month that only four Premier League games started this season.

The International of England also struggled with fitness issues last season after a calf and hamstring problems kept him outside for almost five months, with the player only started five league matches of that campaign. He has only managed 33 performances in all competitions for the Red Devils.
