Germany legend Mats Hummels has announced his retirement of football.
Hummels, 36, rolled credits on his glittering 18-year career with an emotional announcement on social media.
The center-back, currently playing for Roma, sat in front of a camera and looked at the highlights of his career with people like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Germany.
He then confirmed that he will hang his boots at the end of the season.
Hummels said: “I am struggling with my emotions now. Now comes the moment when no football player can avoid.
“After more than 18 years and so many things that football has given me, I will end my career this summer.
“When I see all this [the highlights]I know how much this entire journey, this whole path has meant for me. How extraordinary it was to experience that. “
Hummels won almost every important title that was available during his career.
The former German international won two Bundesliga titles and two cups with Dortmund and also achieved two Champions League finals with the German giants.
Hummels also has three titles and a cup with Bayern, where he started his career in 2007.

But perhaps his biggest moment came in 2014 when he won the World Cup with Germany, for whom he won 78 caps, when they defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final.
The Roma star looked back on all that success and paid tribute to his managers, teammates and fans.
Hummels added: “Because it costs a lot, just having the right coaches at the right time, being fit at the right time, with the right teammates at the right time.
“And I have seen so many guys, so many coaches, to which I owe a lot. Without them my entire career would never have got off the ground or have reached this level.
“How great were the games themselves, but also the moments after the game.
'When you were in the dressing room or were celebrated together on the field. Cheering with the fans, standing in front of the Sudtribune [Yellow Wall]. These are moments that will never happen again. “
Hummels could hardly stop his tears while he went through his emotions as he looked back on his successful career.
He said: “That makes me emotional. It will make me even more emotional if it is finally over.
“But it is incredible to have had it that way, it cannot be compared with anything else. It cannot be compared to everything and above all I do not think that it can be replaced by something afterwards.
“And that is fun and a bit scary at the same time, because it is of course a feeling that I will miss. But I have had that completely in my career, everything means to me.
“And the fans are what makes it all worth it. And it was great to be able to play for such fans. And I will miss it, I will miss it terribly.”
