Mauro responded on Sunday to dismissing coach Thiago Motta.
He told La Gazzetta Dello Sport: “Except in the first instance for the summer idea of Giuntoli and Thiago Motta to try to try to win with another game, the implementation was a total failure.
“The lesson is that you have to spoil the history at Juventus more. (Maurizio) Sarri won the championship and was sent away after a year; (Andrea) Pirlo was fired after fourth place and the Coppa Italia-Supercoppa Double. And now Thiago is not finished with the championship.”
The former midfielder then placed himself in the shoes of Giuntoli: “I would be the most disappointed of all.
“Thiago Motta was his choice and by sending him away, he noticed that he had to admit a mistake. But … I think the mistake was more in management than in men. That too much power was given to a single person.
“Giuntoli,” concluded Mauro, “in these months all Juventus had in his hands.”
