The former champion of the UFC Vederweight has not announced his next step since he became a member of the 155-pound division.
The team of Islam Makhachev recently pushed back against the idea that he will not compete at International Fight Week because of his current plans.
We do not know when the lightweight champion will be back in action, but both Makhakev and Charles Oliveira are consistently called by Ilia Topuria.
'La Leyenda' believes that he will fight for the title after raising a weight class, but there is also the story that he first needs a big victory to really cement himself.
Fight fans were enthusiastic about this event after a banner on the Spanish broadcast of UFC Vegas 105 suggested that it would be the next Topuria vs Oliveira.

The coach of Ilia Topuria says that he did not say Charles Oliveira's mistakes, but hopes something is going on
The coach Jorge Climent from Ilia Topuria is in a similar position as the fans he does not know who will be the next one for his hunter at the moment.
He recently spoke in an interview with Submission Radio about the next move that the unbeaten star could make before he gave his thoughts about the UFC Vegas 105 error.
Climent stated that he had not seen or heard about the suspect flag that appeared on the screen when he gave his first reaction to it.
The coach said that this could be a positive for them with pieces that start to fall into place and while the lightweight title is their favorite option, it is not vulnerable with 'Do Bronx' not a bad second place.
“I don't see it, that's crazy. Maybe this is a sign, I don't know. We hope something of this happens once. We don't know what will happen in the future, but we want something like that. The real thing we want to fight for the belt, but Oliveira fight is also a good fight.”
Climent added that he was not told by the UFC about the matchup with Oliveira, but he hopes that this error means that things are going in the right direction.
“Of course, but maybe if it was an accident, it might be something for something.”

There is no doubt that if the UFC would announce a lightweight collision between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira, the fans would be enthusiastic.
The only major care with the matchup is that we do not know how the former Federweight champion will do against the best that the 155-pound division has to offer and would leave a loss for Oliveira Topuria in a sticky situation.
It would also happen that the Topuria versus Islam Makhachev fighting is now one of the most discussed competitions in sport.
Jorge Climent told Submission Radio that he would be disappointed if the matchup never came out.
“I pray to do this fight. It is a big fight. I don't know what the plan of Islam is and what he really wants. I will be sad if this fight does not happen because I think it's a good fight for Ilia.”
