Barber and Blanchfield enter UFC Vegas 107 with a lot of momentum. But after a long break due to health problems, Barber will receive a controversial booking of the main event this weekend.
Only a few days of UFC Vegas 107, Blanchfield is concerned that Barber would not make it to fight Night, and that the UFC matchmakers should prepare for a backup plan.

Maycee Barber responds to the media of Erin Blanchfield for UFC Vegas 107
In an interview with MMA fights, Blanchfield was asked if she is worried or not that Barber withdrew from the fight on Short-Notice.
“Yes, a little worried,” said Blanchfield about Barber. “Because Maycee is someone who has often pulled out of fights. She has a history of it. There is always a concern, but that can happen to someone at the same time.”
During a recent performance on the Ariel Helwani show, Barber responded to Blanchfield prior to UFC Vegas 107.
“I did [see the comments]And I think they are pretty stupid, “said Barber.” It is not logical to say that she thinks I will pull the fight back, as if I have this history of pulling out from fighting. I have two fights, total, and both were quite serious things for some …
“A bit strange for her to say, I think she just tries to find out what she can say bad about me, because I think she can't really talk about my style or my marketability …
“That is the only thing she can say about me is that she may not think that I will not pop up before the fight. Her fighting style is terrible, there are many things you can say about it Blanchfield, she is a boring hunter and she has a terrible style.”
Blanchfield criticized her most recent victory over Rose Namajunas in UFC Edmonton. In a slow fight of start-to-finish, Blanchfield walked away with a decision victory to bounce back from her first UFC defeat.
At the moment, Blanchfield has not responded to Barber's comments, but tensions rise for UFC Vegas 107. Blanchfield, Barber and Natalia Silva are all in the mix for a title shot while Shevchenko the next move of her second airline title title.
