Maycee Barber snapped opponent’s arm in gruesome end to pro MMA debut

UFC Flyweight Candidate Maycee Barber needed less than a round to put an exclamation mark on her MMA debut.

This Saturday, Maycee Barber will be confronted in front of Blanchfield in the UFC Vegas 107 Main Event in the Apex. She will return her to the Octagon after several issues have postponed her comeback, after a victory over former title -Uitdager Katlyn Cerminara on UFC 299.

Barber is one of the top stars in the UFC Flyweight Division with six consecutive victories, including recent victories over Amanda Ribas and Andrea Lee. An impressive finish on Blanchfield could possibly make a strong case for a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko.

But before Barber made his debut in the UFC -Tachthoek, she had to make his way in promotion via Dana White's Contender Series and LFA. In her professional MMA debut on LFA 14, Barber showed the annoying style that she would use to attract the attention of the UFC matchmakers.

Maycee Barber broke the arm of Itzel Esquivel for a quick finish in MMA debut

Barber faced an intriguing challenge against Itzel Esquivel in her professional MMA debut in June 2017, in a long-awaited flow conflict. Only a few seconds in the fight barber won little time with the help of her wrestling, which guarantees a large Takedown on Esquivel.

During a wild clambering against the fence, hairdresser turned beautifully into an attempt by the arm bar, so Esquivel left little room to escape. Barber stretched the left arm of Esquivel in an annoying entry before the arm of Esquivel broke visibly.

It was a wild end of Barber's first performance in the cage after getting an immense hype for her age and level of experience. She then won three more fights in LFA before she received the call to compete in DWCS in 2018.

Barber has concluded a UFC contract by finishing Jamie Colleen with elbows in her DWCS fight. She won her first three UFC fights with three consecutive knockouts, including finishes about Gillian Robertson and JJ Aldrich.

Maycee Barber could be confronted with UFC 315 star with a win over UFC Vegas 107

If Barber is the victory at UFC Vegas 107 this weekend, a no. 1 candidate match on the Horizon can be for the talented 27-year-old. A recent winner on UFC 315 may be much logical for her next opponent with a victory over Blanchfield.

UFC Vliegweig Competter Natalia Silva made a statement earlier this month when beating former champion Alexa Grasso on UFC 315. Silva repeatedly called Barber during their UFC office period, and a matchup could finally be in the mix.

Shevchenko could be on a collision course with UFC Stromweight Champion Zhang Weili in a super fight later this year. Weili hinted on a 'predicted' matchup after looking at Shevchenko's grim victory over UFC 315.

Barber is right on the door of a flying weight shot and she has the chance to earn a highlight-reel finish this weekend at UFC Vegas 107.
