French Captain Kylian Mbappe will be in action again for his country during this international break after an absence of six months.
And the Real Madrid star has acknowledged that he should treat his position better.
Les Bleus will be confronted with Croatia on Thursday in the first stage of the quarterfinals of the Nations League, which will be the first international performance of Mbappe since September.
“I am clear enough to know what I am doing well and what I am not doing well,” said Mbappe, who was omitted from the last two squadrons of Didier Deschamps.
“I know that people were not happy with what I did on and next to the field, and I didn't do them well,” said Mbappe.
“I have no problem questioning myself. I have never had a problem with criticism when it deserves and is properly edited.”
Mbappe is the third highest goal scorers of all time in France, on 48 goals, a disadvantage of record holder Olivier Giroud with nine, but with only two goals in his last 12 performances, he accepts that he made mistakes while playing for his country.
“I didn't play well against Italy and my [pre-match] News conference did not hold people, because as a captain I have not brought people together. I accept that, but now the most important thing to move forward and not to repeat the same mistakes, “he said.
But the 26-year-old comes in great shape during this international break, after he has overcome a sticky start at Madrid to score 31 goals in 44 games in all competitions.
Only Robert Lewandowski (35), Mohamed Salah (32) and Harry Kane (32) have scored more this season for teams in Europe's top five competitions.

In his next match, Mbappe will now break into the top five of the top five of France of all time, similar to Thierry Henry at 66.
“I feel good, I'm happy to play football,” said Mbappé. “I am happy to be here for the [France] Team, “he said.
He will be reunited with in-shape usmane dembele, who calls Mbappe a good friend.
This season, Dembele scored 30 goals in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain, while he is the only player who scored more (22) than Mbappe (17) in 2025 in Europe Top Five competitions.
“He is another string for our bow,” said Mbappe about Dembele. “If you see his current shape, it gives us even more options, it makes us even more unpredictable for the opponent.
“We just have to combine well. But we know each other by heart and we want to play together.”
