Mbeumo chase hampered by two transfers as Brentford consider price tag U-turn

Manchester United continues to insist on Bryan Mbeumo after seeing two bids rejected, but other recent transfer activities have seen Brentford to increase their appreciation

Brentford believes that they may have undervalued Bryan Mbeumo at £ 63 million after seeing various other offers and ratings around the Premier League with Manchester United who still circles for their starman.

The bees have already rejected two offers for their leading light, which scored 20 times in the top flight of the past term. The West -Londers have shown themselves willing to sell their top talent, but only when they have received the correct compensation and hold them so far.

They want a little more than £ 60 million before they are considering leaving Mbeumo. United still has to touch that figure and the bees can still ask for more after they had seen other clubs their transfer activity.

Newcastle has seen an offer of £ 55 million for Anthony Elanga accepted by Nottingham Forest. There is also a further conversation about a possible switch for Noni Madueke, who could leave Chelsea for Arsenal, but only for more than £ 50 million.

The evening standard reports that Brentford was encouraged by the reimbursements promoted for Madueke and Elanga, who were both less productive in the last third last term, which underlines their view that their appreciation is not only fair, but can even be lower than the market value.

Last summer it was Ivan Toney who left Brentford, on his way to Saudi Aarabia, and Mbeumo left impressively with him. The Cameroon International has scored against the Manchester outfit, but now wants to add to them in the coming weeks.

Mbeumo has made it clear that he wants to move to Old Trafford and he would really benefit from his wages up if he made the switch. However, Brentford has determined and is open to other clubs that make offers for their attacker because they want to maximize profit.

So far, Matheus Cunha is the only new face that arrives on the red side of Manchester and Brentford Chief Phil Giles has known that he can still see a scenario in which Mbeumo stays in the capital.

The sports director said: “He had a fantastic season. We expected great interest in him, we had great interest in him. He has his ideas about where he wants to take his career. He is well within his rights to do that. It is not impossible that he is still a Brentford player if we agree that he is going.”
