McTominay reveals newfound love for tomatoes, hails ‘incredible’ food

Scott Mctominay is delighted by Italian cuisine and has been to life in the country last summer since his move to Napoli from Manchester United.

The Scotland International was a favorite under a minority of Red Devils supporters during his time at Old Trafford, although the judgment about him mainly emphasized the limitations of his play. He is worshiped in Naples.

McTominay's contribution on the part of Antonio Conte – seven goals and two assists in 26 games – helped Napoli to shoot within three points from the leaders Inter Milan while looking for only their fourth Scudetto.

Quite heart-warming, the 28-year-old seems to have been brought to Naples as much as his inhabitants have taken over him. Mctominay has been transported from the north of England to one of the culinary capitals of the world and enjoys the kitchen in South -Italy, especially the tomatoes.

“Oh my God,” the midfielder told the athletics. “The tomatoes. Bellissimo.

“I never ate them at home. They are just red water. Here they actually taste like tomatoes. Now I eat them like a snack. I eat all vegetables, all fruits. It's all so fresh. It's incredible. '

The comments from the Scot evoke images of him that thrown over every delicacy in the Campanian capital indeed claimed last month that he was controlled because of the 'many temptations of Napolitan cuisine'.

The professional athlete revealed the most important player to ensure that he maintains the physique that is needed to compete at the highest level.

He and the Scottish international colleague Billy Gilmour, who lives at a short distance, share the services of a private chef, Mario, who greeted McTominay almost as much as the food he offers.

He added: 'He is so good. He goes and gets the vegetables and the fish and everything from the market every morning. All fresh. He's great. '

The former Red Devil missed Napoli's recent victory over AC Milan due to illness, but he was able to return for the trip to Bologna – where the midfielder will find a regional cuisine with even greater appliance than Naples.

The men of Conte have a largely favorable list of fixture after their journey to the Renato Dall'ara, while Table-Toppers Inter their Champions League and Coppa Italia campaign juggle with difficult tests in the competition.
