Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai seemed to let the 3-0 defeat of Hungary against Turkey go under his skin during the weekend, especially after a gesture from Real Madrid Starlet Arda Guler.
Dominik Szoboszlai seemed to fire a subtle excavation on Arda Guler after he was sitting on the field by the Real Madrid star. The two came together on Sunday for Hungary's UEFA Nations League Playoff collision with Turkey in Budapest.
The visitors went into the game with a 3-1 lead after the first legs and eventually achieved an extensive victory after goals from Hakan Calhanoglu, Abdulkerim Bardakci and Guler. And the latter ensured that one of his opponents know the Real Madrid -younger Liverpool -star Szoboszlai.
An image of that exchange was shared by a Hungarian news exit on Instagram, in which Szoboszlai grossly answered. He wrote “1088” as an answer, with that number the exact number of minutes he recorded in all competitions for Madrid.
The 20-year-old joined Real Madrid of Turkish Giant Fenerbahce in 2023 and despite the fact that they have since made 43 performances for the Spanish club, many of those trips from the couch have been. He scored nine goals at that time.
Turkey -Baas Vincenzo Montello has already offered his view of the limited minutes of Guler in the Santiago Bernabeu and believes that it is only a matter of time before the young person settles himself.
“He is an exceptional football player. We all know his talent and what he can contribute,” he said. “It is a well -known and generally accepted trend that players with consistent playing time at their clubs are usually selected for the national team. However, we have to follow a more understanding approach with Arda Guler.”
Turkey -teammate Calhanoglu followed, however, a slightly different approach by tracing Guler for his current club team Inter Milan. “Arda is a very important player; he is like a little brother I love a lot. I would like him to come and play with us – in the internet – although I don't know if this is true,” said Çalhanoğlu.

“I don't know what his situation is at Real Madrid, so I don't want to get too much involved in this situation, because he finally knows more, although of course I want and believe he deserves to play more minutes.”
Guler will hope to play a role for Real Madrid in the coming weeks, while the Spanish side attempt to win La Liga and the Champions League. Next month they will enter Arsenal in the quarterfinals.
In the meantime, Szoboszlai will be forced to concentrate on Liverpool's title tax with their next match against Rivals Everton after the international break.
