Merab Dvalishvili explains difference between him and Conor McGregor following broken toe injury

Only a few weeks after his UFC 316 title defense against Sean O'Malley, Merab Dvalishvili sustained a potentially debilitating injury.

A few weeks ago, UFC Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili shared images on his social media of a cut that he suffered during his UFC 316 training camp, but luckily the cut was not a fighting-depth.

Despite that, more recently, 'The Machine' online images shared after a brutal broken toe in training, only a few weeks of his UFC 316 fight against Sean O'Malley.

This is not the first time that Dvalishvili has sustained an injury weeks due to a title defense, such as his UFC 311 Vecht against Umar Nurmagomedov, the Georgian had to mislead the committee so that he could fight.

Dvalishvili compares the toe injury to Conor McGregor's

When the news about Dvalishvili's toe damage appeared, fans began to worry as last year, the UFC co -loft from Conor McGregor was canceled after he had a broken toe just a few weeks after his planned fight on UFC 303.

Nevertheless, 'The Machine' has made it clear that his broken toe will not jeopardize his UFC 316 title fight, explaining how he is different from 'the Notorious' Conor McGregor.

“I mean, I don't want to comment on Conor McGregor's toe because I don't know the pain and the situation exactly (he was inside) but I still have nine other toes and it's fine,” Dvalishvili told Michael Bisping and Paul Felder while they were laughing.

Merab dvalishvili in the hope of showing more in rematch against O'Malley

It is unclear how much a broken toe will influence the usual game plan of the Georgian champion to put pressure on his opponent with his ruthless wrestling, but he has claimed that he will be in the Rematch in the hope of showing his striking lake.

“I think I'm going to make some changes, but I can't say now, I can't give my secret, but no big changes, perhaps more striking. It was my first title fight and I was more focused on winning the fight … Now I want to show a good fight and now I am going to see more striking,” claimed Dvalishhvili.

Of course, O'Malley has made such a big name for himself because of his elite and highlights of Reel Knockouts scored on the road to become the Bantam weight champion.
