Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the receiving side of some anger of Liverpool supporters after reports that suggest that he has agreed to join Real Madrid in the summer
Liverpool supporters must be happy for Trent Alexander-Arnold while approaching his move to Real Madrid, according to Paul Merson. Alexander-Arnold with Liverpool's current contract will end at the end of June and it has been generally reported that he has in principle agreed a deal to join Real with a free transfer.
Real has been on Alexander-Arnold for months and had rejected an offer of £ 20 million in the January transfer window by the Reds. They are now convinced that the English international will connect a five -year -old deal with a value of approximately £ 12.5 mA years in the summer transfer window, despite suggestions that Liverpool could match those figures.
Reports that he was on his way to Madrid in the summer, were undergoing by some in the Liverpool fan base, with one on social media burning the No.66 shirt of Alexander-Arnold on social media. After being born in Liverpool and comes through the club's academy, some people find it clear that the 26-year-old should remain loyal.
But former Arsenal -midfielder Merson has a very different view of the situation. He told Sky Sports: “I don't know what the problem is. He got through it, he has been incredible. He has won everything in the game, in Liverpool, and he goes on for free.
“Look at Antony, he was just bought by Man United for £ 80 million [in 2022] And he is now on loan and nobody says a Dicky Bird. This boy has been absolutely excellent for Liverpool. He did not come in like a £ 60 million flop. He has experienced the ranks, he came to the team, he has been phenomenal. And it's Real Madrid. Do you know what I mean?
'He won the competition [in 2020]. He will again win the Premier League with Liverpool [this season]. He won the Champions League [in 2019]And I see no problem with it. I really don't do it.
“I don't know anyone in the football world who has ever been deposited Real Madrid, I don't. Fair Play for the boy, good luck for him. I think Liverpool fans should be happy for him. He has given everything for that club and I think he deserves that movement, in my opinion.”
Did you say! Does Trent have to leave Alexander-Arnold Liverpool with the blessing of the fans? Respond below.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are in similar positions such as Alexander-Arnold, with their current deals almost finished. Speculation about their futures in Anfield has been demolished in recent weeks, but it seems that the local links of the right back make his situation a more emotional for supporters.
Whatever happens in the summer, the star center is about to help secure the Premier League title in the first season under the management of Arne Slot. Liverpool is 12 points free from Arsenal with nine more games to play and no other competitions to focus on.
