Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates were all smiling when they were depicted on Sunday when attending Super Bowl Lix.
For the second time in six years, the Philadelphia Eagles won a championship, thanks to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Caesars Superdome.
In a typical way, all the biggest stars from America were their way to New Orleans for the showpiece event and Messi was no exception.
The Inter Miami star – who scored 34 goals in his 39 performances since he moved to the United States – was seen that he hit a pose in one of the adidas suits in the stadium.
Messi was accompanied by teammates Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets – with whom he played in Barcelona and now in Miami – while enjoying the game.
The Argentin also found time to take a picture with Jackson Mahomes – while older brother Patrick Mahomes played in the championship game for the Chiefs.
Prior to the champion match, Mahomes had spoken about his eagerness to impress the former Barcelona and PSG star when entering the field.
“He is the goat of his profession and to have such a person in the game it will be great. I will show who I am and what talent I have, “Mahomes said.
'I had to look at him when he played in Kansas City, I think it was perhaps a few years ago last year, and he had a few goals in that game. You see the greatness, the greatness he shows every day.
“Someone else I look up to and try to reach his level someday.”
Mahomes is more than just an informal observer of football. He is a co -owner of two teams in Kansas City – Sporting KC from MLS and the Stroom from Kansas City of the NWSL.
His wife, Brittany Mahomes, is a former university football player, played professionally in Iceland for a year and is one of the founders of the electricity.
In the meantime, the son Thiago recently stole the headlines after scoring 11 goals for Inter Miami in a collision against Atlanta United.
The 12-year-old is the oldest of three sons of Messi and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and seems to have a bright future for him.
He is part of the Inter Miami Academy, the club for which his legendary father is now playing.
The young attacking midfielder put on the NO 10-shirt, a song that is synonymous with the age of Ballon d'Or winning father.
Thiago has previously represented Barcelona at youth level and reportedly has a priority contract options with the old boys of the Argentinian side Newell.
