Messi, Suarez and Mascherano aligned on Inter Miami targets

Javier Mascherano believes that Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Inter Miami are all on the same wavelength as they focus on the success of MLS.

Former Argentina Center-back Mascherano continued the Barcelona tires of Miami when he was appointed as their new head coach last November.

The ex-liverpool midfielder has never managed a professional club at every level, but brings abundant experience after he has won four LaLala titles and two Champions League crowns.

His condition will be helped by superstars in Messi, Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, and Mascherano says that all involved with the herons are tailored to their plans.

“We cannot control the expectation. We can determine what we are going to do in the field,” Miami's head coach told the goal.

“So we must be focused on the field, analyze how we can play and try to do it in the best way. Because if we play in the best way, we will be close to those expectations.

“We know how to work. They have experience and we all always have the same target to be successful.”

Miami will also compete in the Concacaf Champions Cup, Leagues Cup and Club World Cup, as well as chasing MLS Glory.

This means that the minutes of Messi must be managed, and protecting one of the world's greatest attackers with defensive coverage and energy around him on the field.

“He is the best player in the history of this sport. So you can always find many things around him, but I see him very quiet, relaxed, happy and I think our goal is to give them the tools a very good season, “Mascherano added to Messi.

Indeed, the former Barcelona quartet from Miami, including Messi, are by no means younger, with 146 years of experience between them.

Yet the Miami boss believes that his relationship with those four, as well as the rest of his team, can be fertile.

“I am here to help them,” said Mascherano, who played with Messi in Barcelona for eight years. “Like I said from the first day, I am here to help them have success.

“There are not many secrets in football. You have to try to give them some ideas, and they will take the rest.”
