Metz reach agreement to sign Al-Shabab’s Habib Diallo

FC Metz has reached an agreement on personal conditions with their former striker Habib Diallo (30), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Diallo is currently under contract with Saudi Pro League Club Al-Shabab. Since making the move two years ago, however, the Senegal International has struggled. As a result, he wants to end his current deal with the Saudi side and complete a move.

Although this is the wish of the Senegal International, the Saudi club is not necessarily inclined to do that, for the time being, because they ideally want to provide compensation for the attacker.

However, if Diallo is successfully negotiating a way out from his al-Shabab contract, he would be open to a move to Metz, where he played between 2013 and 2020. At that time he scored 48 goals in 116 performances.

Diallo still has a house in the area, as well as many friends. Despite interest from elsewhere, the Centrum-Forward now has an agreement with Metz, Foot understands Mercato. However, he still has to negotiate his contract termination with his current club, Al-Shabab.
