Michael Bisping endorses Vitor Belfort’s UFC Hall of Fame induction despite labeling him a ‘massive cheater’

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping will soon be accompanied by one of his brightest rivals.

The career of Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort will always be linked after their 2013 showdown in Sao Paulo. On UFC 315 earlier this month, the UFC announced the addition of Belfort to the Hall of Fame class of the promotion, which will be initiated during the International Vechtweek next month.

Belfort spent Bisping with a main kick in their Sao Paulo confrontation and Bitping blames Belfort for the vision -problems he has had since their collision. Bisping suffered a detached retina in the Belfry fight that led to Strabismus, a condition in which the eyes were not aligned properly.

Belfort was under testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) during his fight with Bisping and added a controversy veil to the result. Years after their collision, Bisping remains adamant that Belfort Vals played during his combat sport career in attempts to gain unfair benefits.

Michael Bisping gives a surprising approval of the UFC Hall of Fame induction of Vitor Belfort

Despite the long-term resort of Bisping opposite Belfort, he believes that the MMA pioneer will earn the coming induction in the UFC Hall of Fame.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Bisping gave his unfiltered response to the induction of Belfort in the UFC Hall of Fame.

“If you look at it and remove all the emotions, the man at 19-year-old UFC was a heavyweight champion of the world. He then became the light heavyweight champion. He almost became the middleweight champion. He is closest to a three-weight champion,” said Bitping van Belfort.

“Was of course he a huge cheater? Naturally. Has of course he taken many steroids? Naturally. Were there many other people at the same time? Absolute?

“I lost an eye because of this man,” continued Bisping. “He can do his Hall of Fame on his A – but he deserves it. You can't deny what he did in the Octagon. You just can't deny it. If that is not a Hall of Fame career, I don't know what you like. Whether you like it or not, he deserves it.”

Belfort withdrew from MMA after a front -stairs knock -out loss for Lyoto Machida on UFC 224. He won the UFC 12 heavyweight tournament on 19 years old and beat Scott Ferrozo and Trawigman to become the first heavyweight champion of the promotion.

Bisping went to the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019, only two years after losing the UFC Middleweight Title to Georges St-Pierre on UFC 217. Since he withdrew from MMA, Bisping has become one of the best television analysts in the UFC.

Michael Bisping pushes Kamaru Usman to retire when he loses at UFC Atlanta

Next month at UFC Atlanta, another legendary hunter can hang up the gloves. Former UFC champion Welterweight Kamaru Usman returns to the UFC Atlanta Main Event against Joaquin Buckley, after having had three consecutive losses.

Only a few years away from the top of the pound-for-pound list of the UFC, Usman is in a must-win situation at UFC Atlanta. If Usman loses, Bisping wants him to walk away from fighting and concludes what a legendary run has been in the cage.

Usman suffered from Leon Edwards on UFC 278 a loss of the backlog for Leon Edwards, before he only lost a few months later in their immediate rematch on UFC 286. Usman returned to UFC 294 and lost a sensitive fight against Khamzat Chimaev.
