Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett have traded daring predictions during a joint interview for before the fight.

The lightweight duo will collide on 12 April into a long-awaited five-round Co-Main event on UFC 314.

It is a transverse fight between a former world champion and a prospect that rises through the ranks.

Both men are convinced that they will run away in Miami in seven days with a statement victory in Miami.

Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett predict UFC 314

Pimblett has already publicly predicted that he will finish Chandler in two rounds at UFC 314.

'The Baddy' had no problem breaking down his daring call while his opponent listened.

“He has fought the best light weights in the division for the past five years, but I think I will show it more easily than she,” Pimblett said during an interview with ESPN MMA. “They play in Mike's style, they stand and fight with him.

“I think this fight is going everywhere, I am going to win. The only way I lose here is when I am hit by a large, crazy wild shot on the chin. And as you all know, scousers are not eliminated. There is no way to happen.

“I think I'm going to finish Mike in two [rounds]. As I say, I think I can end this fight everywhere. He likes to come in with his punches, so that I can see myself catching with a shot on the way inside and put it down. Or I can actually see myself subject. I see no way to be honest to be honest. “

Chandler was less specific with his prediction, but spoke with complete confidence about winning the victory.

“Scousers are apparently not eliminated, but they were never touched by people like me,” he replied.

“I am really enthusiastic to test his chin. I have one foot on the gas and one foot on paddy's throat. I am going to throw large bombs and we will see if he sinks or swims.

“Look at the size of my legs, dude. Die [Pimblett’s] His little bird hands. “

Paddy Pimblett Eyes UFC title shot

Pimblett believes that moving to 7-0 in the UFC will bring him to a moving distance from a title shot by beating Chandler.

UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev is almost universally considered the best pound-for-pound hunter in MMA today, and the 30-year-old Englishman wants to face next year at a certain moment.

“The plan is to beat Michael Chandler and then fight again in Abu Dhabi in October,” Pimblett told TNT Sports.

“Hopefully I can fight someone in the top four, top five, and then I can ask for a title shot in 2026.”

Chandler, on the other hand, plans to call Conor McGregor if he beats Pimblett on UFC 314.

The former UFC champion with double weight recently suggested when retiring a political run.

Yet Chandler is firmly fixed on a collision with the largest star of MMA, when he returns to the UFC Octagon.
