Does Michael Chandler give more to win or set up a show?
That is the question of a million dollars Teddy Atlas about the former Bellator champion.
Although he has not been in the profit column since he has eliminated Tony Ferguson '300' style, Michael Chandler still remains one of the most exciting hunters on the UFC selection today. Chandler has five performance bonuses in his six performances and will be back-to-back 'Fight of the Nights' on UFC 309.
After losing Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira, Chandler wants to appear this Saturday against Paddy Pimblett on UFC 314.
Chandler is currently 2-4 in the UFC Lightweight Division.

Teddy Atlas asks Michael Chandler about the costs of winning
Despite what has been written on paper, the always exciting Chandler reminds the box icon Teddy Atlas of one of his favorite hunters in Arturo Gatti.
Just like the deceased boxer, Atlas said that Chandler is fighting with 'All Heart' when he steps into the Octagon.
“One of the rarity in a sport and in my sport, winning or losing, it hardly mattered,” Atlas told Chandler in an interview with ESPN. “People just want to see you because of what you gave them.”
This led to ask atlas to ask Chandler about the costs of winning.
“This is the question of a million dollars for me: is it more important for Michael Chandler to win or to leave that arena with the people who feel that way?”
MMA is more than winning for Michael Chandler, but …
Chandler, a fan favorite in heart and soul with wars who went back to Eddie Alvarez in Bellator, responded to Atlas.
“It's a very interesting question,” Chandler thought.
“Do you want to win, right? But there is something that happens when that cage door closes or you go through the ropes and then the 'thing thing'.”
In the past, Chandler said that the delivery of the fans' entertainment has gained him in the way and threw caution at the wind instead of calculating the best strategy.
“It didn't always think about the techniques,” said Chandler. “It wasn't always thinking, how do I win? It was always just like, how do I give my full myself to this wrestling match? How do I get my full self for this fight?
“I admit that some of my hardcore fans who really want to see me win, it is probably not the best strategy,” Chandler said.
“But I also only lost the number two or three arranged man in the world. Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier … the toughest guys in the whole world.
“They are all fighting the night, fight of the year, but April 12 I can win,” said Chandler about his upcoming fight with Paddy Pimblett.
