Michael Chandler remains hopeful that he will eventually fight against Conor McGregor and he even dropped a fight date.
Instead of waiting any longer to fight against Conor McGregor, Michael Chandler returned to the Octagon on UFC 314 last April, where he will compete against Paddy Pimblett.
Unfortunately for Chandler he was completely dominated by Pimblett and was then ready in round three of their Co-Main event.
Prior to the fight, McGregor declared his interest in combating the winner of the lightweight fight and despite the fact that 'The Baddy' came at the top, he told Chandler that they have unfinished things.

Michael Chandler Drops Fight date for McGregor Clash
Since then, McGregor has dropped more hints with regard to his return to the UFC, where Dana White is instructed to send the doctors to him so that he can enter the test pool again.
Despite the clear eagerness of the Irishman to return to action, White recently gave a gloomy update that claims that McGregor will not return soon.
And with that 'Iron' Chandler has provided a huge update this Thursday and claims that he and the former UFC Double Champion will finally collide in 2026.
“Conor !!!” Chandler first said on threads.
“1/24/26,” added Chandler in a separate message.
With 'The Notorious' that has not yet registered a test session this year according to the UFC-Anti-Doping database, a return would be logical in 2026 because it would give him the time to be in the test pool during the six-month period he should be.
McGregor was recently called by BKFC star Mike Perry, but that fight cannot happen until the Irishman finally ended his contract with the UFC.
Conor McGregor recently celebrated a title in another sport
During his time from the Achthoek, McGregor spent a lot of time promoting fights in BKFC where he is now co-owner.
In addition, 'The Notorious' participated in football, and he recently celebrated the competition with his football team, Black Forge FC
Despite his constant fame and wealth, McGregor apparently still seems to be a return to combat sports, and a long -awaited collision against Chandler seems the only viable result.
