Michael Chandler has not taken too friendly on some recent comments from UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall.
Aspinall broke the latest version of Chandler in the Octagon together with the man who defeated the former triple Bellator champion, Paddy Pimblett.
After having seen the American fall to a fifth loss in seven UFC fights, the heavyweight King does not understand why Chandler fights as he does.
“It's bad fight IQ. … It's strange because he is clearly a real fit man, but if you do a sprint for five minutes, nobody will be fit, right?” Said Aspinall. “He just goes outside, he throws from here, waving, everything he does is grabbing complete explosion.
“It's crazy for someone who has so many fights, I'm just surprised.”
It was not long before the experienced lightweight competition responded.
Michael Chandler brings Jon Jones in response to Tom Aspinall's criticism
Chandler's one -sided loss for Pimblett on UFC 314 came on the heels of successive setbacks to Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier. 'Iron' has only defeated Hooker and Tony Ferguson since he jumps from Bellator to the UFC.
That losing record has led Asinall to be far from the only one who gives a critical view of Chandler's wild approach. But the 39-year-old will apparently not be influenced and taken to threads to publish his reaction.
Dana White increased Aspinall to undisputed status in June and the heavyweight hunter has so far been unbeatable in the UFC. With that in mind, Chandler could not shoot similar recordings on the cage versions of the resident of Manchester.
Instead, he pointed out the refusal of Jon Jones to fight Aspinall. Chandler compared it with his own failed waiting for Conor McGregor to accuse the Englishman of Hypocrisis for his past assumes that situation.
“” Didn't that big Goober say this like 3 years ago? And then waited for Jon as I did for Conor after he criticized me because he waited for Conor? Cool, “Chandler wrote.
Many quickly pointed to the most important differences in the scenario. Aspinall has passed a record -interim title rule and waited for the champion for a logical unification fight.

Michael Chandler's first fight back from his failed Conor McGregor Wait did not go well
When Aspinall returns from his long resignation later this year, he will hope for a better performance than Chandler had in his first fight since he had ended the McGregor comeback.
The former Bellator Champ spent two years on the sidelines, while the comeback of the Irishman did not constantly flourish. It cost the canceled McGregor vs. Chandler fight in June 2024 to finally continue 'Iron'.
Although he had hoped to change his visor from 'The Notorious' to the lightweight championship, a former opponent gave a blow to that hope. In their Madison Square Garden Rematch, Oliveira beat Chandler comfortably over five rounds.
When his wait to compete ends in October, the heavyweight King is planning to avoid a similar fate. Aspinall will defend UFC 321 against Ciryl Gane heads and his belt against the Frenchman in an all-European matchup that has been happening for a long time.
