Michael Chandler threatens to ‘Nashville slap’ former UFC superstar after upcoming fight at UFC 314

Michael Chandler is more than willing to welcome Nate Diaz in the Octagon when the Stockton Star draws again.

UFC Fan Favorite Michael Chandler returns to the Octagon against another star, Paddy Pimblett, in the UFC 314 Co-Main event next month in Miami. He returns to return to the win column after losing in four of his last five fights, including his most recent defeat against Charles Oliveira on UFC 309.

Despite his up and down record in the UFC, Chandler remains a stars-littered attraction at UFC Pay-per-Views. His multi-year waiting time for Conor McGregor returned to the Octagon with the Oliveira fight, although Chandler continues to chase to McGregor.

A victory over UFC 314 would not only get Chandler back in the lightweight title mix, but further solidify itself as a top-pay-per-view star. If a former UFC -Superster returns to the promotion this year, Chandler wants to enter.

Michael Chandler open for 'Nashville Slap' Nate Diaz na Paddy Pimblett Fight

Nate Diaz has entertained the possibility to return to the UFC in the midst of his current free agency in 2025. After saying goodbye to the UFC after a victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, Diaz fought twice in the boxing ring, including a victory over the former BMF enemy Jorge Masvidal last year.

But Diaz's potential UFC return is delayed by the apparent lack of stars of the promotion, according to the man himself. Although Diaz wants to fight for a UFC championship, there are not many top names that can lure the native Stockton back to the cage.

Such a name is Chandler, who welcomed Diaz back to the Octagon during a recent Q+A on his social media.

After a follower on X asked about Chandler's interest to fight against Nate Diaz, Chandler replied with a blunt response.

“I would hit Nashville Nathan,” Chandler replied.

Chandler responded to Diaz's initial UFC return records by claiming that the UFC is 'the place to be' in combat sports. It was seen as a small sweeping to Diaz's decision to run away from the promotion in favor of boxing fights and other companies.

Another aspect of the potential UFC return from Diaz is McGregor. In one win each in their rivalry, a potential trilogy can take place if McGregor remains interested in an MMA co -back.

Nate Diaz's UFC return delayed due to the lack of 'stars' of the promotion

Diaz got up to UFC Superstardom when he pulled out one of the greatest disturbances in the history of sport at UFC 196. He defeated McGregor in the second round in a daily booking in the second round, where he handed McGregor his first UFC defeat.

McGregor defeated Diaz in their UFC 202 Rematch by majority decision. Diaz then achieved a decisive victory over Anthony Pettis on UFC 241 before back-to-back defeats to Masvidal and Leon Edwards.

When Diaz returns to the UFC Octagon, Chandler seems like a willing opponent. If the two paths cross outside the cage, don't be surprised if a blows fly.
