Michael Page shifts Khamzat Chimaev and sparring rumor

Michael Page recently appeared on a podcast with his former bare boxing opponent, Mike Perry.

'Platinum' asked the man he defeated by majority in August 2022 about his time training with Chimaev.

Perry invited page to respond to rumors that he did very well when he sparkled with the 14-0 Russian phenomenon.

“I'll kill that now. I will kill it now, that's nonsense, “MVP was on the overogs podcast.

“I couldn't even spar him. He sparkled my boy, Norbert Novenyi. Norbert gave him a bit back and forth. They had their tense sparring session.

“I think because we came as a team and spar a few other boys, I had a little fun and my flare and so showed. As I said, Chinese whisper, it was mixed. I have nothing to do with that.

“I got to see him in his element, he is such a beast. I guarantee you that he will get the title this year. “

Michael Page Eyes former light heavyweight champion

Page is all about encouraging fan -friendly fights, and he is willing to give up weight to make them happen.

The long -term welter weight candidate set up 15 pounds earlier this month, so that he could fight Shara 'Bullet'.

Now he is ready to fill a bulk into a light heavyweight for a collision with former 205 pounds champion Jiri Prochazka.

“I am the kind of person who would set up a different division and fight someone like Jiri because it is an exciting fight,” said MVP during his press conference after the fight in UFC Saudi Arabia.

'[The most spins ever?] Yes, most spins – such as two tornadoes collide. I said from the start that I want to make a lot of noise; I have not yet had the highlight that I wanted, but if I can continue to get these exciting matchups, why not? “

Only the time will learn whether UFC boss Dana White allows that matchup or whether the page is forced to choose a lane.
