Barcelona and RCD Mallorca reportedly found an agreement for Pablo Torre. The 22-year-old midfielder has shown flashes of his talent this season, but has difficulty having playing time, something he will hope to have next season under Jagoba Arrasate.
Arriving in 2022 from Racing Santander at the age of 19, Torre Barcelona cost € 6 million, while beating Real Madrid for his signature. However, the talented young midfielder had difficulty making an impact under Xavi Hernandez, and although Hansi Flick seemed to have more faith in him, the German coach could not offer much in the way of playing time because of the competition.
Torre has already agreed the conditions with RCD Mallorca for a deal of four years, and he will become a member of Los Bermellones after Barcelona has also reached a deal with them. According to Sport, that is saying that Barcelona has sold 50% of its rights for € 5 million. Mallorca has a buy -out clause for the rest of its rights for € 25 million.
Their information is that a personal phone call from Arrasate has made the difference for Torre and sold it to the project. Earlier, real betis, Valencia, Benfica and Porto were all linked to Torre.
Torre played little in his first season under Xavi and spent the second year on loan in Girona, because they qualified for the Champions League. He would play 29 times for Girona that year, but was largely an option of the bank, rather than an important contribution.
This season it looked promising, where Torre turned out to be very sharp in his performances and delivered four goals and three assists in just 421 minutes (14 performances). In total, Torre appeared 27 performances, scored five times and gave four assists during his two seasons with the club. He goes to Mallorca hoping to become the creative hub of the side next to Sergi Darder.
