Mike Tyson vs. Daniel Cormier in a street fight – who wins?

On the one hand, Prime Minister Mike Tyson was one of the most fearsome power punchers in boxing history; on the other hand, Daniel Cormier was one of the greatest wrestlers in MMA history – so who would have the advantage in a street fight?

Earlier this week, popular MMA million views.

Most of the comments under the post, which come mainly from MMA fans, are to the tune of “one takedown and it's over for Tyson,” with Cormier being a six-time U.S./Olympic team member and NCAA D1 finalist.

UFC lightweight prospect Chase Hooper agrees that if Mike Tyson and Daniel Cormier were to ever engage in a street fight (in their fighting prime) as soon as they hit the ground, it would be an easy win for DC.

“The people who think Mike would beat DC in a street fight are the same ones who thought he would beat Jake Paul at 58,” Hooper wrote in response: “Now DC might lose an ear, but one takedown and it's over .”

In response to fans, the popular lightweight doubled down on his views: “Common sense is not nearly as common as you might sometimes hope. Again, look how many people were convinced Mike would KO Jake Paul.”

Former world bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling also joined the debate, arguing that the outcome would depend entirely on the type of 'street' they fought on.

“I think the context of where this street fight is taking place matters. In a pub? In the literal streets? Does Tyson rock Timbs or step on Sike's? It depends where for me!”

Same as saying, “first uppercut Mike lands and Jake Paul is done.” Prime DC vs prime Tyson; one has infinitely more experience in shooting around strikes than the other in striking and counter-wrestling

Daniel Cormier wonders who would win in a street fight

This debate over who would win in a street fight, Cormier or Tyson, has been raging in the combat sports community for a long time; so long that DC has already answered that question itself.

During a 2022 episode of DC/RC, Cormier was asked if he could beat Tyson outside of a ring or octagon, though the former champion was cautious about giving a definitive answer.

'I'll call in [to answer that] because in a street fight I wrestle with everyone, I wrestle with them [all] on the ground and in a street fight you take bottles, you can use anything. But RC, more than the fight, because I love Mike, he's my man and I would never lift a finger to hurt Mike Tyson.

“The only reason they say that [Tyson would win] is that I'm a bit cheerful. But look at a picture of me on the scale with my chain, I know you saw my bling there, don't even wear that anymore.

To his credit, then-co-host Ryan Clark refused to answer because he's more afraid of Tyson than Cormier: “I understand that street fighting involves a lot of things, and that DC is a lot meaner than he seems.

“I'm also more afraid of the real Tyson than Daniel Cormier, so I'm not going to give an answer that could be objectively wrong, nor am I going to give an answer that could get me beat up in real life. life, so I won't answer.”
