Mikel Arteta has ‘already signed a striker’ for Arsenal as transfer bombshell dropped

Arsenal had to sign a new attacker for a few seasons and former shooter Martin Keown believes that the club might already have a deal over the line for the summer window

Arsenal has already closed a sensational deal for a new striker, Gunners -icon Martin Keown suggested. The North -London side has shone for a new attacker in recent seasons.

Former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the last out-and-out striker who is coming back the 20-goal for Arsenal Breken-that is coming back during the 2019/20 season. The side of Mikel Arteta is already linked to a few candidates for a summer movement.

Newcastle sensation Alexander Isak has been associated, while there are also rumors around Viktor Gyokeres and Dusan Vlahovic circling around. When asked about the need of Arsenal for a new striker, Keown has suggested that a deal can be very difficult for Isak, although a large moving movement for someone else seems to be a certainty.

The former defender said to TNT Sports: 'I just feel at Isak, now [Newcastle] Won that [trophy]It becomes even more difficult to get him away there.

“The whole world is on it. It's about finding these players before everyone does. There is now a new director of football. You have to go after the players, a good free transfer.

“You can't just spend money on the obvious Declan Rice. But you can be sure that they will undoubtedly buy a striker this summer.”

And Keown is so convinced that the Gunners will sign a striker in the coming months that he has revealed that a deal has already been closed. He added: “I would like to imagine that a player has already been bought and this has already been done from the point of view of Arsenaal. They will no longer make that mistake.”

And although Keown believes that a lack of a reliable goal scorer this season has been the core of Arsenal's problems, the ex-livepool star Jamie Carragher does not agree. He has suggested that their problems were a lack of creativity during the campaign.

Speaking earlier this month, he said: “But the problem they have is not a problem problem. It's a problem with creation. They don't create enough opportunities. That's the biggest problem they have now.”

He added: “I keep going back to people who say they need a number nine. If Arsenal had had a number nine – let's say that there was Haaland playing center -forward for Arsenal this season – would they have scored more goals?

“Of course they would do that, because he is a top striker and a great Finisher, but based on those three games I showed you, the best opportunities they had, Haaland does not make a difference. He doesn't do that.”
