Arsenal -Baas Mikel Arteta has sworn 'to disrupt the game at the highest level' after a surprising new role at a sportswear company.
Arteta has been appointed as a global ambassador and directly of performance at Under Armor, with the Spaniard to work in the position in addition to his role in the Gunners.
The company said that Arteta, 43, would offer guidelines on product development, talent identification and leadership. He will also bring “Elite leadership, tactical insight and a ruthless urge to perform the worldwide vision of the brand,” they said.
“The collaboration with Under Armor is the perfect opportunity for me to work with a partner who is committed to making young athletes better,” said Arteta.
'I am passionate about offering a platform for the next generation of players who come to football and the highest level of talent that has already been drawn to the brand show that they are.
'We share the same mentality to always strive for more by finding new ways to innovate and disturb the game at the highest level. Our values when pursuing greatness are closely coordinated and I am convinced that we will achieve great things in football. '
The announcement only appears for a few days in the new Premier League season.
The side of Arteta will strive to go better than their second place in the previous three campaigns. They start the 2025-26 season with a visit to Old Trafford to record Manchester United on Sunday.
Arsenal spent £ 208 million in renewing Arteta's team, including the signing of £ 64 million of highly appreciated striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi also became a member of Arsenal this summer, together with Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Crithian Mosquera.
