Arsenal is in Girona for the conclusion of their UEFA Champions League League phase tonight with Mikel Arteta expects to call a rear-up side with his team, but certain of a top-thought finish.
And the Gunners will probably go to a training camp for warm weather next month if they can bypass the two-legged play-off that falls after the FA Cup fourth round.
On the front of the transfer, they continue to explore the possibility of signing a new center-forward for the deadline of the following Monday evening and Evan Ferguson could now leave Permanent Permanent. In terms of expenditure, it has been confirmed that Kieran Tierney has sealed his arsenal output.
Here are the big stories to keep an eye on in and around Arsenal.
Arsenal has received a transfer boost after reporting that Brighton is ready to have Evan Ferguson permanently depart in the January transfer window.
This month Ferguson was associated with a switch to the Emirates, with boss Mikel Arteta who needed more depth after losing Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus to injuries.
Arsenal has missed a recognized No. 9 to increase their title hoop after they had brought most of the goals on Kai Havertz – and Ferguson would give them a solid option in attack.
The permanent signing of Ferguson would save a headache for Arteta, who already has two loins in Raheem Sterling and goalkeeper Neto. Premier League clubs are only allowed a maximum of two domestic loan players in their team.
Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Tierney has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Scottish giants.
Arsenal signed Tierney – Van Celtic – for £ 25 million in 2019, but was moved the pecking order under Arteta and has been considered surplus.
His contract is going this summer and Rodgers has revealed that he will certainly return – although it could be earlier. He said: “Ideally, it would happen (in January), but he is still an Arsenal player at the moment.
“I think everyone agrees that will certainly take place in the summer. If we can do it in advance, then great. '
There are only five sleeps to the deadline day and although Manchester City has led the expenditure so far, a large number of clubs want to encourage their team for the last third of the campaign.
Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho seem to make the biggest names that can make a switch between now and Monday evening, but what do the other 19 clubs need and can they get their deals on time?
