AC Milan's 1-3 road loss for Roma on Serie A MatchDay 37 has confirmed that they will not participate in European competitions next season.
After the defeat, Milan 9th is in the competition with 60 points-5 behind the 6th place Lazio. This means that their highest possible finish is 7th, while only the top six in the Serie A is eligible for European tournaments.
The last time Milan missed Europe was the 2019/20 season, but on that occasion they voluntarily withdrew due to a financial settlement of Fair Play with UEFA.
