AC Milan has fired coach Sergio Concukicao after just six months the leadership of the Serie A club after a disappointing season.
Former Massimiliano Allegri manager – who took the lead for San Siro for four years between 2010 and 2014 – is reportedly set up for a return.
Concuyo was appointed as a replacement for Paulo Fonseca in December and took a Milan side of the eighth in the table and 14 points drifting the leaders.
The former Porto manager started an impressive start and won the Supercoppa Italiana with a win over Inter in just his second game at the helm.
However, the results in the competition did not improve under Concukicao, in which Milan threw from the Champions League in the play-off round of Feyenoord.
The last hope of Milan on saving the season that ended earlier in May with a 1-0 defeat against Bologna in the Coppa Italia final, because they finished eighth in the Serie A table.
Milan also saw European football missing for the first time since 2019, while Rivals Inter is preparing for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
