Milos Kerkez drops Liverpool transfer bombshell as he green lights summer move

Liverpool is strongly linked to Bournemouth Left-back Milos Kerkez for the summer and the Hungary International has now had his word about transfer speculation

Bournemouth Defender Milos Kerkez has opened the door to a Dream Summer transfer to Liverpool after he has admitted that he wants to take the next step in his career at an Elite club that is able to challenge large awards.

The Hungary International, 21, this season has really attracted the attention for Bournemouth, while the side of Andoni Iraola continues to exceed all expectations in the Premier League. The cherries belong to a number of teams that are still in the chance to qualify for next season's Champions League with a handful of competitions left – but the consideration of their fine form was persistent interest in their top players.

While the Als Dean Huijsen and Antoine Semenyo are still being linked to a hurdle of top clubs, the name of Kerkez has time and again praised as a target for Liverpool.

The Reds are expected to be active in the summer transfer window and the reinforcement at left back would be on their agenda. That would indicate that Bournemouth's wish to retain Kerkez will probably be tested prior to the 2025-26 campaign.

In a new interview with the athletics, Kerkez has now implicated that he would be interested in such a movement, given his ambitions to play at the highest level. When he was asked if he became a member of an elite club was a natural next step, he replied: “Yes. As a child you dream to play at the highest level, to win the trophies, to be in the best teams.

“These are the things that my agent is doing. My father is busy. It's not something they occupy me because the season is still going, so it doesn't make sense to talk about something.

“There are games about it, the FA Cup is important for us – these are big things. And then, as I say, when someone comes (for you) you never know what will happen or where you will end. In the summer we will see what happens.”

Speculation that connects Kerkez with a move to Liverpool has been intensified in recent weeks, while the Anfield icon, Jamie Carragher, has mentioned the former AC Milan-Man as the perfect successor in the long term of Andy Robertson.

When he was asked about the transfer interview, Kerkez says that he has seen all the things that people have said all season.

“It's not like I don't see it (the comments),” he says. “When people say they don't see things when someone says something about you, I think it's a lie. It's only if it's touches you or not. If someone says something bad, I do my work, and if someone says something good, I just do my job. That's it.”
