Liverpool has been busy in the summer transfer window after he has already concluded a deal for Jeremie Frimpong and they now hope to complete two major deals for both Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez
Liverpool closes a deal for Bournemouth Left-back Milos Kerkez and could even complete the transfer this week, according to reports.
Arne Slot continues to strengthen his side while in his first season he continued the lead on their Premier League triumph, after he had already signed Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold right-back.
Liverpool has also agreed a record -breaking £ 116.5 million deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen game maker Florian Wirtz – who is seen as someone where the club can build their future.
But the Reds also want to strengthen their songs at the left back next to the Wirtz deal and have worked on a deal for Kerkez, who was one of the striking stars in his position in the Premier League season 2024-25.
There are some concern about the future in the long term of Andy Robertson, while Kostas Tsimikas is also linked to an exit from Anfield.
According to the I paper, the conversations between Liverpool and Bournemouth are now in an “advanced stage” about a package worth £ 40 million and £ 45 million.
It adds that although there are still a few more problems to settle, a deal is expected to be reached by the end of the week that will end the months of speculation about the future of Kerkez.
Bournemouth -Chef Simon Francis has been conversations with Liverpool Supremo Richard Hughes in recent weeks, claims the report, with the cherries who refuse to admit to their appreciation of the player.
But after progress in conversations, the two parties now discuss how the reimbursement for Kerkez will be structured. Personal conditions are not expected to be a problem, whereby the player signs a deal of five years.
It would be a huge week for Liverpool, who also hopes to complete Wirtz's signing after he agrees to pay a British club record compensation for the midfielder after his sensational season in the Bundesliga.
Wirtz will compete with Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz, while the arrival of Kerkez should offer competition to Robertson – although the Scottish international has admitted that he is in the dark about his future in Liverpool.
He spoke with Sky Sports this week: “We discussed [my future]Of course we have. “We have had good discussions, me and the club, but what the future is in store, I am not sure. I only know I will fly on vacation and it is needed well. I need a rest after a long season, and then I look forward to the preseason.”
