MLS club reveal shock talks with De Bruyne as he set to leave on a free

The newest club of the MLS reportedly held shock conversations with Kevin De Bruyne about a possible movement for the legend of Manchester City.

De Bruyne missed a large part of last season due to injury and looked destined to leave the club in the summer to join Karim Benzema with Saudi Pro League Club Al-ittihad.

Eventually the move did not come out, with the Belgian Koos to stay with the Etihad when he entered the last year of his contract.

However, the injuries have continued to hinder the involvement of the 33-year-old for the wrestling side of Pep Guardiola this season and he is limited to only 12 Premier League-Start in the middle of the worst slump in the time of the Catala in the club.

All signs seem to point to a step away from Etihad this summer for demonstrably the largest player ever in the city, where Guardiola recently encouraged his captain to be 'honest against himself' about his future.

Despite several links in the past months, it seems that MLS New Boys San Diego FC will not be one of the potential lovers.

The sports director of the Club Tyler Hoop admitted that he had had conversations with the representatives of De Bruyne, but that the player's wage requirements would make a potential movement very unlikely.

“Those rumors, I don't know where they come from,” said Heaps according to the sun.

“I spoke with the agent. The agent of course has many players. Every time I see it, I say, “Are you the one who says all these things?”

He continued: 'He is a fantastic football player and he loves this area. He goes on vacation every year, but I am not sure where that rumor is to come.

“I have had conversations with him, but I will tell you something, those wages do not fit into our budget in terms of what his expectations are at the moment.”

MLS franchises are bound by salary caps that determine how much they can pay for their team, with the individual maximum annual salary for players for players $ 743,750 (£ 575,657).

However, clubs may sign a maximum of three 'designated players' for deals that would otherwise exceed the salary limit, with the move from David Beckham to La Galaxy in 2007 and marked the first time the rule came into force.

San Diego currently has two designated players in their team, former Brighton wing player Anders Dreyer and Mexico International and ex-Napoli star Hirving Lozano.

The club enjoyed a promising start of their first campaign in MLS and is currently third in the Western Conference and has to lose a competitive game.
