Real Madrid broke a three-game Winless Run in Laliga with a 2-0 win over Girona and moved on points with Leaders Barcelona.
Los Blancos, who scored via Luka Modric and Vinicius Junior, stays behind their rivals because of their head-to-head record after a jump from Atletico Madrid.
Madrid needed for a while to settle in the game, with Arnau Martinez Thibaut Courtois forced in an early rescue, but the hosts eventually put their control.
They received their reward in the 41st minute when a clearance fell from a corner to Modric, whose sublime long -distance volley offered from outside the box in the top corner.
After the break, Madrid continued the pressure and Vinicius added almost a second in the 58th minute. Struck with Paulo Gazzaniga, the efforts of the Brazilian crashed from the bar.
Vinicius finally came on the score sheet with seven minutes to go while he was perfectly combined with Kylian Mbappe. After playing a two with the Frenchman, Vinicius put his shot under Gazzaniga to secure the points.

Data debrief: give a good example
It was a much needed victory in front of Carlo Ancelotti, and Modric set the tone for the victory from the start.
His stunning first half was the 11th Madrid who scored from outside the area this season, in which no team improved their count compared to the top 5 European competitions (Bayern Munich also have 11).
There was no way back for Girona, who managed a meager 0.05 expected goals (XG) in the second half, that was when Mbappe and Vinicius really found their groove.
The Frenchman is the third player who is involved in at least 20 goals in Laliga 2024-25 (17 goals and three assists), after Robert Lewandowski (22 – 20 goals, two assists) and Rapinha (20 – 13 goals, seven assists) .
