According to a report, Luka Modric will buy a £ 1 million mansion in Swansea after his curious investment in the championship club.
Modric raised eyebrows last month when it was revealed that he would become a minority owner of the club as his gaming career ends.
He announced on Thursday that after 13 years in Spain he would leave Real Madrid and who would have seen him the most successful player of the club ever. A neighbor said to the publication: 'We don't host many galacticos in Swansea, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him in front of the door.
'But it is a fantastic house close to the beach and I am sure he will enjoy exploring the Gower and the local restaurants.
“I doubt that we have so many beautiful night clubs as in Madrid, but we have many good pubs where he will feel very welcome.”
Modric is supposed to buy the mansion, which comes with a pool table, from former Swans -midfielder Leon Britton, who offers it for sale in 2017. He still owns his house in Madrid, but reports suggest that Modric also wanted a Welshe -based, with the building on a short drive of training.
The first report from Modric's interest in Swansea insisted that his company in club ownership will not influence his gaming career because he wants to continue playing than this season.
Fans went to social media to express their bewilderment on the news, labeling 'random' and 'unexpected'.
In a statement released through the club, Modric said 'This is an exciting chance. Swansea has a strong identity, an incredible fan base and the ambition to compete at the highest level.
'Playing at the highest level, I believe I can offer my experience to the club. My goal is to support the growth of the club in a positive way and to help build an exciting future. '
Modric joins an abundance of current football stars to possess a club and play at the same time.
