Earlier this week, Luis Diaz completed a relocation of £ 65.5 million from Liverpool to Bayern Munich and Mohamed Salah broke his silence after the exit of his former teammate
Mohamed Salah has assured Luis Diaz that he “will not be forgotten” in Liverpool after his large move to Bayern Munich. The Colombian Wideman brought the curtain to Anfield last week on a shimmering period of three and a half years.
Bayern Munich paid £ 65.5 million for the services of Diaz after he had helped the Reds at the Premier League crown last season. He yielded 17 goals in his last season about MerseSide and his great form – in addition to that of Salah and Co – was a big factor in the Liverpool title.
With Diaz now officially a Bayern player, Salah has written a moving farewell message to his former teammate. By sharing a large number of images of the couple, the Egyptian frontman wrote: “Your energy, drive and passion on the field have left a mark that will not be forgotten.
“We were really lucky that you were in Liverpool, and it was an honor to share part of your travel and success story. As a teammate you were more than reliable – you were inspiring.
“As a friend, even more. We all saw the power needed to keep going outside the field because of the difficult times. What you went through would have broken the most, but you came back strongly and gave everything for the club.
“That kind of resilience gives an example for others and deserves nothing but respect. I wish you the very best for what the next is, Lucho.
Salah closed his message with “Siga haciendo orgullosa a su gente”, which translates into “keep making your people proud”, in addition to an emoji of a Colombia flag.
Diaz actually mentioned one of his Liverpool teammates in his introductory press conference of Bayern Munich, but it was not a Salah. He claimed that Summer Signing Florian Wirtz gave him advice before completing his move to the Bundesliga.

Diaz said: “I know what kind of football is being played here. Florian told me that the Bundesliga has a high intensity, similar to the Premier League. The stadiums are always full. Florian wished me much luck.”
Diaz may not be the only former teammate who may have to say goodbye to this summer. Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all left in recent months.
But the sale may not stop there. Federico Chiesa, Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez are all connected to outputs. Liverpool is expected to use the funds generated from their respective steps to finance a blow to Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
