For the fifth time in his Liverpool career, Mohamed Salah has hit the 20-goal staff in a Premier League season in a Premier League season.
The brace of the No.11 against AFC Bournemouth On Saturday brought him this period to 21 goals in just 23 top-flight performances.
Salah previously achieved 20 goals in a competition campaign for the Reds in 2017-18 (32), 2018-19 (22), 2020-21 (22) and 2021-22 (23).
The only other players who scores 20+ goals in a Premier League season at five times are Alan Shearer (seven times), Thierry Henry (five), Sergio Aguero (six) and Harry Kane (six).
In the other three top campaigns of Salah with Liverpool, he scored 19 in each of 2019-20-20-2019 and 2022-23 and 18 in 2023-24.
And with 178 goals, the Egyptian has now overtaken Frank Lampard to be sixth in the most important scorers list of the Premier League. He is only six behind Aguero in the fifth and nine drift of fourth place Andrew Cole.
