Mohamed Salah transfer response is telling despite Liverpool contract silence

The reaction of the potential vooragers of Mohamed Salah prior to the transfer window told it, whereby his contract ends and the Egyptian is free to leave Liverpool in the summer

The future of Liverpool of Mohamed Salah is still in the air with his deal that ends in the summer. But despite the perhaps disturbing silence around his contract negotiations, supporters can take comfort.

As it looks now, Salah runs away from Anfield at the end of the season during a free transfer. Understandably, this has led to those associated with Liverpool, since the 32-year-old, the record prime minister-competitive goal maker of the club, has fired them at the moving distance of another competition title.

Since the Egyptian admitted that there had been 'no progress' about his new contract in January, there is very little noise about his or teammates Virgil van Dijk and the contracts of Trent Alexander-Arnold, where the trio was all confronted with the same situation.

Club heads have been optimistic for some time about reaching an agreement with Salah because they want him to stay, while he too is happy on Merseyside. After an extension of two years, Liverpool would be, but the matching of finances has so far been a bottleneck in negotiations.

Yet the most encouraging sign for the Reds is the response with regard to Salah's reported lovers, the Saudi Pro League's Al-Hilal and the French Champions Paris Saint-Germain. Although clubs abroad are free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with him since January, all transfer bands with those clubs are quickly and firmly refused.

It is also claimed that the Exit of Liverpool Champions League and the last defeat of the Carabao Cup has no influence on what Salah, nor Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, decide to do. It is clear that the number 1 choice of Salah and Van Dijk is to stay in Anfield. It is less known what Alexander-Arnold thinks, but it is increasingly the feeling that he prefers to move to Madrid.

Gary Lineker offered his own theory in February. The match of the day presenter suggested that if Salah almost left, he would have been more and more related to another club at that time and there would be more noise around his potential exit.

Discussing his rest is the football podcast, Lineker said: “I feel he will do that [sign a new contract]. “His self -confidence was reflected by Alan Shearer, who added when Lineker mentioned the lack of noise around the situation:” It's just too quiet. I would think there would be speculation. I would be shocked if he didn't. “

Lineker also noticed on the light nature of Salah about the situation: “Especially the way he jokes about things. You don't do that when you go away. I can be wrong, but I feel [he’ll stay]. “

Salah has been the most important signing of Liverpool of the 21st century and played a crucial role in the seven trophies that Liverpool won in the Jurgen Klopp era. He only cost £ 36.9 million when he was signed from Roma in the summer of 2017.

The dual African player of the year has scored an incredible 243 goals in 392 performances for the club to push themselves third on their top-scoring charts of all time. He is also Joint Fifth with Sergio Aguero in the history of the Premier League on 184, only three goals behind Andy Cole in the fourth.
